I was born and raised in Shanghai, China. My journey took a pivotal turn when I moved to the United States at 18. As a first-generation immigrant, I navigated through various entry-level service jobs, from being a dishwasher to driving a limo. All the while, I studied English as Second Language at community colleges like the City College of San Francisco and Diablo Valley College.

In 2013, with improved language skills and modest savings, I founded OnTime Transportation to enhance my financial standing. This venture was paired with a personal decision to delve deeper into the fields of politics, economics, and philosophy, spurred by over four years of rich experiences at DVC and CCSF.

Over the last decade, our flourishing business has not only allowed for a broader service fleet but has also funded my academic pursuits. I am proud to share that I graduated at the top of my class from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A in Political Science. Further, I achieved master’s degrees from both Peking University and the London School of Economics.

As the manager of OnTime Transportation, I am committed to continually serving our local community. And as a proud alumnus of the California public university system, I’m excited to contribute to discussions that shape an inclusive and thriving local economy.
